Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) Forest bathing is an ancient Japanese process of relaxation - known in Japan as shinrin yoku. The simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you whilst breathing deeply can help both adults and children de-stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way. Shinri Yoku brings us back to nature. It takes us out of our busy lives and heals us, reconnecting us with our environments and ourselves. Forest bathing has the power to counter illnesses including cancer, strokes, gastric ulcers, depression, anxiety and stress. It boosts the immune system, lowers blood pressure and aids sleep.
